Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of brands do you work with?

We work with South African fashion entrepreneurs, creative collectives, music groups, and event organisers who want to build or improve their apparel and merchandise offering. Whether you're launching a streetwear label or need merch for a festival, we tailor our approach to your scale and audience.

Do you manufacture the clothing yourselves?

No, we are a consultancy and strategy service. We connect you with vetted local suppliers, CMT manufacturers, and screen printers across South Africa. Our focus is on helping you design, plan, and source ethically — not on running a factory.

How long does it take to launch a small collection?

A typical timeline is 8 to 12 weeks from concept to delivery, depending on the complexity of designs, fabric availability, and production capacity. We help you map out realistic milestones during the strategy session so you're not caught off guard.

What is included in the Brand Starter Kit?

The kit includes editable tech pack templates, a directory of local fabric and CMT suppliers, a social media content calendar, and a step-by-step launch checklist. It's updated quarterly to reflect current market conditions and compliance rules. You get a digital download after purchase.

Can I get a refund on the strategy session?

The 90-minute consult is non-refundable once booked, but if you need to reschedule, we can move your session to another date within 30 days. The follow-up summary document is included regardless.

Do you help with marketing or just production planning?

Our focus is on strategy, design, and sourcing. We don't run ad campaigns, but we do provide a content calendar and guidance on how to position your brand. For full marketing execution, we can recommend partners we trust.

Why HoodieToday exists

South Africa’s fashion scene is full of raw talent — but turning a creative idea into a real product line takes more than just design skills. We started HoodieToday to bridge that gap.

We work with emerging designers, music collectives, and creative agencies who want to build a streetwear brand or launch a merchandise line without getting lost in manufacturing logistics, supplier hunting, or pricing guesswork.

Our approach is grounded in local production, honest timelines, and practical strategy. We don’t do hype — we help you build something that actually sells and fits your audience.
